I am Danny Leary, a portrait photographer based in Clarksburg, WV, and the person behind every image that carries my name. I did not get into photography to chase trends or create something that feels staged. I got into it to make real people look like the best version of themselves — with honesty, care, and professional polish.
For more than two decades, I have had the privilege of photographing people and families at meaningful moments in their lives. Seniors stepping into what comes next. Families growing and changing. Individuals who want portraits that feel genuine, not overproduced.
My work is rooted in a blue-collar sincerity and a polished portrait sensibility. I am not trying to make everyone look like an influencer. I am trying to create portraits that feel real, timeless, and true to the person in front of the camera.

A Master Photographer’s Commitment to Craft

The PPA Master of Photography degree is one of the most distinguished credentials in professional photography. It is earned through rigorous peer review, technical merit, and demonstrated artistic excellence — and it is held by fewer than three percent of professional photographers worldwide.
But credentials do not make a great portrait. Presence does. Patience does. The ability to earn someone’s trust in the first five minutes of a session and hold it for three hours does. That is what I bring to every session.
